People tend to complain just about everything today. Yet we live in a country blessed by the hand of God. A country where our choices are abundant but we are still not satisfied. A country that values most human life (save the babies), but is besieged on all sides by advocates of Satan.
A woman posted on her Facebook account a couple of weeks ago how she “hated those damn morning birds” making such noise outside of her window every morning at 4:30am. I look at it differently.
Like a canary in the mine, I hear the birds singing. So that is a good thing. I awoke to hear them singing, that also a good thing and I say Hallelujah! Praise God that I am still here and can hear their beautiful music. The birds are good and so are you and so am I. We all should be happy to just be alive.
I look outside and I see evidence of God’s work and creations all around us. And he has provided us with such randomness in the likes of Nature, how could we ever be bored to the point of complaint?
Thunderstorms, snow, sun, the leaves of autumn are all good things as are the creatures large and small which the Lord has given us dominion over. Some to be good stewards of, and others that nourish us.
Genesis 1:28 “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
His works are all around us. Rejoice in them do not complain.
We have brothers and sisters who truly need our help. Some who don’t see the light of God as they live under a dark veil of depression. They view the loss of a loved one as the end of his or her journey instead of the beginning for He said “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Revelation 22:13. Rejoice by remembering your loved one and their life. Rejoice knowing that they are with God and you too will he Him and your loved one soon.
There is also evil among us. Others who would take your possessions, and perhaps our life. Those who favor lying, cheating, stealing, killing, adultery over hard work, love and devotion. Those who put their own personal selves and needs before anyone else including Christ. Those who worship the God of money, success, and personal greed.
Those who practice the 7 deadly sins have turned from God and do not listen nor do they hear Him. Though some can be saved, others have so boldly embraced Satan and his disciples that there will be no salvation unless THEY hear the word and accept Jesus as their savior.
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:16
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5 – So be that prophet and spread the word of the Lord this Sunday.
Rejoice in the love of God this Sunday and may you feel his loving hand as He guides you through this wonderful life he has given to you and to me. May God be with you.
