New York Mayor Deblasio wants to employ every felon or every “ex-con” that has served his time in prison. He wants them to know know that a job is waiting for them on their release.
Imagine the slap in the face Deblasio has just give to every man and woman who have lived a clean life, free of a criminal past and rap sheet and who are looking for a job. The message is clear: You want a job, then commit a crime and we’ll have a job for you when you get out of prison.
This is just another example of the depravity and shallowness of the left. NO Mr. Mayor. There has to be consequences attached to bad, illegal and illicit behavior. There are plenty of places that hire people with past criminal records, but we (you) should not make it easy for them. They should know there are consequences that will follow them for the rest of their lives if they commit a crime.
Let’s look at a very basic definition of criminal justice:
Criminal justice is the system of practices and institutions of governments directed at upholding social control, deterring and mitigating crime, or sanctioning those who violate laws with criminal penalties and rehabilitation efforts. (Wikipedia)
Considering Deblasio is offering full employment for ex-cons without any proof of rehabilitation, this plan of his is ripe for exploitation, abuse and corruption. But then again we are talking about New Your City here.
Notice also that the definition includes sanctions and penalties for those who violate laws. The purpose of any criminal justice system is to protect other citizens from the harm of those criminals who would prey upon them. Not to reward the perpetrators of crime.
But that is precisely what Deblasio is validating with his Jobs for Cons program.
To all the good New Yorkers that are left in NYC – Have you not had enough of this non-sense? If it were me, it would be time to move my family.
